Formation weekends take place at Compton Abbas Airfield (EGHA) monthly. The aim of these weekends is to continue the formation training given at North Weald, however we do take ab initio formation pilots. You bring your 52, we will put a current or ex RAF/RN pilot in the back with you. Depending on your experience Yak 50s may be acceptable, particularly if we know you. You will be taught various formation positions using multiple aircraft up to a 9 ship. Tail chasing and air combat may also be available depending on the availability of instructors.
We can arrange accommodation and social activities naturally! No landing fees are charged during your weekend.
